I vividly remember the first day I walked into Montfort. I walked in with a lot of nervousness and fear as I did not know what to expect at a master's course. The calm and serene environment of Montfort and the overly nice and kind people I met there made me fall in love with that place instantly. The two years that I spent there were undoubtedly the best years of my life. There where ups and downs but through it all I could feel myself changing and becoming a better person. The highly experienced and dedicated faculty at Montfort who strived to give their students the best of everything was the reason for each of our success. For the entirety of my life I would always cherish the two years that I spent at Montfort.

My experience at Montfort College has definitely been amazing. This academic home opened for me a venture of discovering life from the inside out that has truly helped me impact my environment.

Sampurna Montfort family accepted me as a family member in July 2015 and from the day one , I have been showered with immense love, care and warmth from everybody here. This is THE place to be where one gets to interact and learn from people from varied cultural, ethnic background. One best message this family has taught me is to accept everyone for who they are and give them an opportunity to grow.

My Montfort experience has been wonderful so far and I know without a doubt that it will be even more enriching in the days to come. Very rarely do you find a place that is so welcoming and non-judgmental. Here, even the smallest success is a huge celebration. At Montfort, everyone is a winner. I couldn’t have been in a better place than this. I am happy that Montfort chose me. A place that embodies love, peace and happiness.

In life there are experiences that transform your perspectives towards life. The two years at Montfort was such an experience for me. The ability to one step closer to understanding self was the biggest achievement of all. All of us study under the same rood but Montfort provides a platform where each one of us embarks on our own journey. There are highs and lows which we learn to deal sometimes alone or together with some best people we find along the way. All in all, Montfort is a place that challenges us and being open to new experiences is the best way to learn from this journey at Montfort.

Being a part of Montfort has been one of the best experiences of my life. There is something beautiful about this non-threatening and encouraging environment that helps you grow not only in your field but in life overall. It pushes you to your fullest and does so in a delicate manner. And the constant guidance is something you can never get enough of. And if you are having a bad day, all you need to do is sit on the lawn. Something will definitely cheer you up.

Though I had My master’s degree in psychology, when it came to the practical side of mentoring someone, I was finding myself missing something. Whenever I sit and reflect over my sessions I will end up with thoughts like “Oh I should have asked that first, I should have asked it this way, I should have ended the session this way” etc. I felt the need of taking up professional training so that my sessions become more organized and satisfying to my own conscience. And that’s what I gained exactly from the course. My thinking attained more clarity, the whole process became organized. How Montfort’s Counselling program stands out from other similar programs – That difference is made by the friendly and approachable teachers at Montfort. They accept you as who you are and give you the space to grow while guiding/navigating you subtly. And most importantly, enough opportunities were given to all of us to do sessions Infront of the teachers so that we acquire that confidence to demonstrate those practical skills Infront of our clients as well. I am Wing Commander (Retd.) Shibu Jacob , a 64 year Air Veteran. I am a Spiritual Counsellor for the past 10 years. Even though the ultimate solution to any issue is through the “message from GOD “, I always wanted to acquire knowledge on how to conduct the Counselling process in a more systematic, scientific & professional manner so that the clients open up & understand the inherent / root cause, so that a solution can be provided. One of my neice was an Alumni of Montfort College and she told me about the “online Certificate Course in Counselling”. I had a phobia towards online course as I am not very tech savvy. Nevertheless, I visited Montfort College to enquire. I was put to Dr Anandhi, who made me very comfortable explaining about the courses and since I was late in joining moved an extra mile to hand over some reference books & study material. Did a demo on how to enter Google Classroom & see how to submit assignments etc . The online class and participation by all students across various spectrum were interesting. The one-to-one counselling skills demo did change many of my preconceived notions on how to elicit information, paraphrasing, empathy, etc were tools that I had gained exposure. The entire faculty was very accommodative and made things simple that even a layman could understand & grasp. My overall grading for the course is “ Exceptional “. Wishing Montfort & its faculty the best of times ahead.

The Certificate Program in Counselling Psychology (CPCP) exceeded all my expectations. The comprehensive content provided deep insights into various psychological theories and practical techniques. As someone who is passionate about mental health and wellness,I was skeptical about online course. But the online certificate course in counselling Psychology from Montfort College was a total eye opener for me. This class exceeded my expectations in every way. The class felt like a community, and we have built a strong connection within who share the same interest in counselling. The teachers are immensely knowledgeable, accessible, and also created a safe space which made it easier to open up and share my thoughts and feelings. My heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers who made the course more engaging and relevant. Montfort College offers valuable course for anyone who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

When I enrolled in this course, it was more of a trial online course, a stepping stone that might enhance my practice in terms of receiving my patients. I didn’t have much of an expectation in terms of personal growth. But now, after graduating I think it is safe to say that my life has been changed forever 6 months ago, I had no idea of how it would change my life for the better. Listening to my batchmates and their world views opened my eyes to a whole new perspective. Each class made me more uncertain and less rigid about my world view. And the credit to this HUGE change in me goes to the faculty of Montfort college. At no point in the course, did they treat any of us as students. Every participant’s view was patiently listened to, all questions welcomed and appreciated; self-awareness brought in each of us to the extent the person was ready for. Come to think of it, if this isn’t group counselling, WHAT IS??. Decades after graduating as a PG student, I became a student again and for that I thank each and every faculty member of the college, but special mention of Anandhi Mam Vasantha mam and Maxim Sir.

I completed the CPCP in 2023. This was well designed with a comprehensive theory and practical based coursework for a strong foundation in counselling psychology. I had a lot to learn from all the facilitators in their diverse areas of expertise. The practice counselling sessions gave me remarkable confidence in comparison to the raw skills I had at the start of the program. I would strongly recommend this course for those who wish to understand the basics of counselling psychology.

I attended the CPCP course at Montfort College in May 2023. The lessons I learned through this course made me become more self-aware and understand the importance of self-reflection. As I am Yoga and Wellness Educator, I interact with a lot of people on everyday basis where I need to understand them better if I want to help them with their personal growth. This course gave me a set of skills and the important aspects I need to keep in mind to be able to understand the other person, which is the starting point to help them with their mental health along with physical health. I am grateful for the teachers at Montfort College who shared valuable lessons and taught the course lessons so effectively.
